About Kristen
My name is Kristen Cloke Morgan, and I am a life coach, mother, wife, writer, and actor. Empathy is at the root of everything I have achieved and everything I do. Empathetic listening is my most practiced talent and foundation as a life coach.
I am an Emmy award nominated actress, and I started acting professionally over thirty years ago. During that time, I have also written and developed films and as well as authored several hours of television. I am an accomplished leader. As a board member and artistic director of a repertory theater company I wrote, produced, and directed award winning and nominated works.
While honing skills as a leader, I was invited to participate in a professional women’s leadership course with Joan Goldsmith, best known for her book “Learning to Lead” co-authored with Warren Bennis. I used these leadership skills not only while running the theater company, but also as I pulled back from acting to focus on raising my children. I then turned my attention toward parenting, mentoring, and volunteering.
In addition to my biological children, I am fortunate to also be a stepparent. I understood in order to have a successful relationship with my stepchildren and to help navigate their parents’ difficult divorce, I was going to have to learn quickly how to care for young children in a thoughtful way. Having grown up with a father who is a highly sought after psychologist, a grandmother who was a pioneer of the Head Start program, a mother as a teacher and an uncle as a world renown mediator, I have always been interested in psychology, communication and relationship dynamics. I was able to use my skills as a listener and empathizer to establish deep and important bonds with my stepchildren. They helped guide me toward my career as a helper and life coach. It is a relationship built on love, trust, interest, and care. This relationship is one of the drivers of my passion to help others build relationships and communication skills that have lasting meaning and impact.
My biological children intensified a passion toward service and volunteerism. During my son’s first year of school, I was asked to co-chair the parent association and served on the board in my second year in my capacity as the lead chair. At the end of that volunteer position, I was immediately asked to join the school board where I ran several committees. As a member of the school board for over a decade, I had the privilege of immersing myself in the world of education. I attended conferences and enjoyed presentations and lectures by some of the top education specialists in the country. During that time, I was engrossed with learning about parenting and child psychology.
As a native of Los Angeles, I grew up in and around the entertainment business. I have a deep understanding of the challenges, obstacles, and concerns artists and entertainment professionals face. I am personally and professionally partnered with a successful writer, producer, and director. Our days are often filled with creating, strategizing, and talking through the difficulties and pressures of the industry with each other, our friends, and collaborators. Therefore, my practice leans toward, but is not restricted to, working with creative and entertainment professionals, while still deeply interested in attracting clients who are looking for support in their relationships and in parenting.
During my entire life I have been a life coach in some way. I have always helped those around me and coached people through difficult periods. I use my abilities as an empathetic listener to help guide those longing for a change towards a perspective that will help put them on a path toward better lives. With all of my achievements, I am confident in my abilities and life-long skills as a listener and helper. My native, developed, and trained skills as a provider of perspective and insight have helped me guide many people to the clarity and insight they need for more productive, creative, happy, and meaningful lives.
As a Master Certified Life Coach, I am educated and able to open my skills to the public.
I genuinely want to help you find your best life.
